IREL Tradesman Trainee Notification 2026 : Age Limit as on 09/11/2026
- Minimum Age : 18 Years
- Maximum / Upper Age Limit : 35 Years (for General / UR candidates)
- Age Relaxation Extra : 3 Years for OBC (NCL) (up to 38 years), 5 Years for SC / ST (up to 40 years).
- PwBD Candidates : 10 Years relaxation (PwBD + OBC = 13 Yrs, PwBD + SC/ST = 15 Yrs). Maximum age with all relaxations cannot exceed 50 years.

Stipend During Training & Regular Pay Scale Upon Absorption
- 1st Year Training Stipend : Consolidated ₹34,200/- per month + House Rent Allowance (HRA) calculated on W-3 minimum scale of ₹22,000/- + Medical facilities for self and dependent family members as per company rules.
- Regular Absorption : On successful completion of 1 year training, candidates will be absorbed as Tradesman in regular W-3 Grade.
- Regular Pay Scale : ₹22,000 – ₹88,000/- with Industrial DA (IDA), HRA/Company Accommodation, Cafeteria Perks, PRPS, EPF, Gratuity & Group Insurance.
- Approximate Annual CTC : ₹6.50 Lakhs per annum.
- Service Agreement Bond : ₹50,000/- for UR/EWS/OBC-NCL and ₹25,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates to serve the company for minimum 3 years after training.

Selection Procedure & CBT Exam Pattern (No Negative Marking)
- Stage 1 - Written Examination (CBT) : Computer Based Test of 2 Hours duration (120 Minutes) conducted in bilingual format (Hindi & English).
- Section-I (Subject Knowledge / Trade Test) : 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on respective ITI trade / +2 Science Chemistry concepts (100 Marks).
- Section-II (General Aptitude) : 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General English (50 Marks).
- Total Marks & Questions : 150 Questions for 150 Marks. Each question carries 1 mark.
- Negative Marking : NO NEGATIVE MARKING in the CBT exam.
- Qualifying Marks in CBT : UR & EWS candidates must score minimum 50% marks in Section-I and Section-II separately. SC / ST / OBC(NCL) / PwBD candidates must score minimum 45% marks in Section-I and Section-II separately.
- Stage 2 - Skill Test / Trade Test : Shortlisted candidates in the ratio of 1:5 based on CBT merit will be called for Trade Test. The Trade Test is strictly Qualifying in nature.
- Final Merit List : Prepared purely on the basis of marks obtained in the CBT examination among candidates who qualify the Trade Test, followed by Document Verification & Pre-employment Medical Examination.
